Paranoia: The Game Edition is a fan-made modification for the game Half-Life, which was originally conceived as an additional story in the known universe, but eventually turned into an independent brainchild of a small group of programmers. The project was warmly received not only by critics, but also by gamers, which allowed this mod to gain popularity in narrow circles. The developers have completely redesigned the character models that were taken from the standard presets of the GoldSrc engine, which further separated the project from the original.
The storyline tells the story of Major Kalashnikov, who performs tasks to eliminate the terrorist threat on the territory of the Udarnik industrial base, where various experiments are carried out. What initially seemed like an easy walk for an experienced law enforcement officer turned into a real nightmare in the future. The plot is divided into a dozen levels with different tasks that must be completed in order to advance to the final scene.
On the way to the completion of the plot,the gamer will visit the military unit, the medical bay, the laboratory “KROT-1” and many other territories. Enemies are detachments of corrupt military that were bought by villains, as well as mutated creatures that came under the influence of an unknown chemical. Among the available arsenal there are well-known barrels: Glock 18, AK-74M, AKM, MP5, SPAS-12, PKM, Groza, RPG and several types of grenades.
