Kathy Rain: Director’s Cut is an extended version of the original project, in the center of which is Kathy Rain, who finds herself in a deadly and interesting adventure. The gameplay has undergone many changes, as well as innovations. The story has been expanded, many locations and new puzzles have been added with previously non-existent mechanics and objects for interaction.
The event takes place in the 1990s. The game is a rethinking of the standard project, released back in 2016. The user follows a strong-willed specialist named Cathy. One day, she decides to go on a solo mission to unravel the mysterious death of her recently deceased grandfather. Taking her motorcycle, a pack of cigarettes and a notepad, she finds herself in the middle of a local mystery that surrounds her town.
When she sets off to investigate, she will often think she is dreaming. Promotion occurs with the help of clues leftdeceased relative. But the notes give rise to even more questions for the heroine. In the passage, the gamer will have to find out what Joseph was trying to find on late nights a few years ago. Because of what, an ordinary person turned into a soulless grandfather, chained to a wheelchair. There are many other questions, including minor ones, not required to reach the ending.
